Global Game Jam 2025 - Pisa is... -unexpectedly- in Pisa

In 2024 we stated to the World that we're still good at doing Game Jams. So we're making another one.

Same location, same format, more fun ;)

What is Global Game Jam?

Useful stuff

1. Can I come with my dev team?
You can, but it's not in the event's spirit. Ideally everyone forms teams on the first day, and get the chance to work with a new collaborator or few! You will have some time to think and pitch an idea. Make new friends or jam with peers you admire.

2. How do I get there?
The event will take place at MIXART, in Pisa.If you come by train you can get there in 10min walk. If you come by plane, PisaMover will take you to the station (it's expensive though), or you can walk for 15-20min. Parking in the area is free only after 20:00 and on Sunday: take this into account if you arrive by car!

3. What should I bring?
The usual stuff and the unusual stuff :-) You are expected to bring your computer, your charger and whatever piece of nerdy equipment you need to survive (mouse, mousepad, mouse glove, power glove, power ball, a flying monkey, …). If you plan to sleep (yes, some people do, some don’t), bring any sleeping equipment you need or like (a queen size inflatable bed with christmas carols and lighting is probably our threshold for “ok”). We also recommend you to bring power plugs and ethernet cables, in case we don’t have enough or the wifi goes irreparably down. We don’t expect it to go down, but you never know, so be prepared.

4. Can I sleep there?
We cannot afford to pay hotels or arrange for couch surfing service this year, but some space will be allocated as “Morpheus Realm”, where you can move with your sleeping bag and crash for a few hours anytime during the event. There are a few hotels and B&Bs nearby, in case you fancy a comfy bed and a hot shower for the night. Moreover, you can always check out airbnb to get a cheap place with your friends, perhaps stay a couple of extra days to visit Pisa.
