Lulu's Jazz Club with the incredible collective of talented musicians is glad to invite you to another incredible:

BRASILIDADE'S NIGHT on Wednesday 13th of November at THE INTERNATIONAL BAR!!!

✅ PLAN FOR THE NIGHT:

7.30 pm : 'CHORO ORIGINS'

8.30 pm : 'BRAZILATIN CONCERT'

9.30 pm : JAM SESSION

🚨The night will begin with 'CHORO ORIGINS', exploring the very 1st Choro Music at its origin.

Join us for an enchanting evening celebrating Chorinho, Brazil’s first popular urban music style, born in Rio de Janeiro in the late 19th century. This lively concert will transport you to Chorinho’s roots, honoring the groundbreaking musicians who shaped it. Experience the delicate and intricate melodies inspired by Joaquim Callado, known as the “father of Choro,” whose flute compositions first defined its playful essence. Delight in the spirit of Chiquinha Gonzaga, a pioneering composer and pianist, and the patriotic passion of Anacleto de Medeiros, whose works gave Chorinho a new depth. Each piece reflects the genre’s mix of African rhythms, European melodies, and Brazilian soul—an irresistible blend that captures the heart of Brazil.

🚨Following the choro performance, get ready for the second concert:

'BRAZILATIN CONCERT', exploring the brazilian music mixed with more latin music and rhythms

Join us as we explore how Brazilian Music was mixed with many other Latin rhythms and music by several brazilian (and non brazilian) artists like Joyce, Vanessa Moreno, Maria Bethania, Tom Jobim, Elis Regina and many more....

Come prepared to sing along, dance, and celebrate CHORO ORIGINS and BRAZILATIN MUSIC.

JAM SESSION GUIDELINES:

Generally musicians can play maximum 2 songs each in order to give space to other artists that might want to join the jam. Percussionists will be more free to join.
