Frequently asked questions

What types of pastries will we be tasting on the tour?

You’ll enjoy a variety of classic Venetian pastries, focusing on traditional, homemade-style treats including beignets filled with pistachio cream, crema pasticcera or tarts with fresh fruits.

Will all treats be included?

Since this is a free event, the attendees will need to purchase the pastries on their own.

Is the tour suitable for children or families?

Absolutely! This tour is designed for people from all walks of life—whether you’re coming alone to enjoy the pastries by yourself, with friends, or with your children and family. It’s the perfect way to share Venice's delightful pastries together and explore unique spots in the city.

Are there any vegan, gluten-free, or other dietary options available?

No, this tour is not specifically inclusive of vegan or gluten-free options due to the nature of traditional Venetian pastries. However, some modern cafes along the route may offer a few of these options, but traditional Venetian bakeries generally do not cater to these dietary preferences.

How long does the tour last, and how much walking is involved?

The tour lasts around two hours, though most of the time will be spent savoring treats in bakery shops. The walking portion is gentle and relaxed, covering about 2-3 kilometers in total. If we count just the walking time without stops, it would take around 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.

Is the tour accessible for people with mobility issues or those in wheelchairs?

Unfortunately, due to the unique terrain of Venice, this tour is not ideal for people with mobility issues, and we do not have the capacity to accommodate special needs in this regard.

What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?

Our tour runs rain or shine! We encourage participants to keep an eye on the weather report and dress accordingly. Venice has a charm in all weather, so just come prepared to enjoy it.

Will we have time to purchase pastries to take home during the tour?

Absolutely! Many of the shops we visit offer options for you to purchase pastries to take away, whether to enjoy later, bring on a flight, or gift to loved ones. There’s no rush, and everyone will have time to select their favorite treats to take home.
