    TRIO CHIMERA

Founded in 2021 and based in Milan, the musicians studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern with Patrick Juedt and at the Stauffer Center for Strings in Cremona with the Quartetto di Cremona until 2023. They drew further inspiration from musicians such as Mischa Maisky, Amiram Ganz, Antonio Meneses, and Eckart Runge. In 2022, the trio participated in a masterclass with Clive Greensmith at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, obtaining the Diploma di Merito. In 2023, they were admitted to the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA), where they studied with internationally renowned musicians. Trio Chimera has received numerous awards, including the prize for best Italian ensemble at the Filippo Nicosia International Chamber Music Competition in 2022, the second prize at the Luigi Nono International Competition in 2023, and the first prize at the Lancaster International Piano Festival Competition in 2023. In less than two years, the trio has performed in many European cities and held a concert in Addis Ababa in 2023. They have also participated in important festivals in Italy, such as the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and the Festival delle Nazioni in Città di Castello. In 2022, they were ensemble-in-residence at the University of the Arts in Tirana, and in 2023 they participated in the Pergolesi Spontini Festival in Jesi. They performed at the First International Composition Competition Accademia Finzi at the Teatro dal Verme in Milan. In December 2023, they will perform Beethoven's Triple Concerto in Budapest with the MAV Symphony Orchestra.
