VIO OPERATOR LEVEL 1 (DAY 1)

The VIO Operator Level 1 training equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to operate dBTechnologies’ VIO Series, our flagship line of premium sound reinforcement products. Attendees who complete this training will receive a globally recognized certificate, establishing them as certified users of VIO Series equipment, including line arrays, subwoofers, point sources, and wedges.

Basic Acoustic Theory

• Core concepts: frequency, time, phase, polarity
• FIR (Finite Impulse Response) and IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) filters and applications
• Introduction to line array theory for understanding VIO system behavior in various environments

VIO Presets

• Examining the effects of atmospheric conditions on sound performance
• Strategies for system aiming and preset selection based on environmental factors
• Overview of coupling presets and high-frequency compensation to optimize performance in challenging acoustic settings

Design and Control Basics

• Aurora Net Software: Comprehensive use of Aurora Net for remote control, monitoring, and firmware updates
• RDNet and Networking:Fundamentals of networking within the VIO system to enhance system control
• dBTechnologies Composer Software Utility: Practical application of Composer as a planning and configuration tool, streamlining VIO system setup and design
• User Preset Management: Procedures for creating, managing, and deploying user-defined presets and safely recall them.
• Firmware 2.0 Overview: Key functionalities of the latest firmware, best practices for use, and important guidelines for secure and efficient deployment of VIO systems

Deployment Techniques

• Safe rigging fundamentals for VIO line arrays and subs

VIO Operator Level 2 is an advanced certification course designed for those who have completed VIO Operator Level 1. This training builds upon the foundational knowledge covered in Level 1, providing a deeper, more hands-on approach. As a practical extension of Level 1, Level 2 focuses on system modeling, advanced networking, and control techniques, allowing participants to specialize further in deploying and optimizing the VIO Series.
